Hey Kim, Tamara, Benton and Jennifer:
I too am one of the long lost Huntley Furniture owners. I have been researching about this line for a while and finally found out some information. Huntley Furniture is actually B F Huntley Furniture Company. This company was organized in 1906, through the aquisition of the Oakland Furniture Company (founded in 1898). Later, the Huntley firm also purchased Winston Desk Company in 1909 and Forsyth Furniture Company in 1920. James S. Lynch Sr. acquired the business in 1935. Fire destroyed the Huntley plant on Valentines Day in 1956, but the facility was rebuilt and showed samples at the October furniture market that year. Huntley merged with Thomasville Chair Company in 1961, and the firm became Thomasville Furniture Industries. My guess is that we should hold onto our pieces. Good luck!
