once again, I really don't want to start an argument here, but some grapes and grape juice are indeed purple and red...depending on the grape..there are hundreds of varieties of grapes used in wine making. Concord grapes are purple and the juice is purple..you can buy purple grape juice right at the supermarket,no coloring added, and white grape juice is white (yellowish green)...red wines like cabernet sauvignon, Bordeaux's and the like, are naturally red the fermenting process and aging makes them even darker ..fine vintners do not add artificial coloring agents or other fruit juices to wine, and they rely only on certain types of grapes and the Must (skins,seeds, and stems), aging, tannins and oxidation to add color to their red wines...
