This is not any easy repair,..typically the legs will have to have the extension piece turned on the lathe with an integral dowel left at the joining end, or four new legs made and added to the existing apron assembly, after carefully diassembling the base by either cutting the base apart or persuading it to come apart by other means. Tell me what stinkwood is...I have never heard of that...
