Of course, you could try to restore the finish..take a little paint thinner on a rag and wipe down the areas on the feet, etc that are scuffed and see if they disappear, meaning that they blend back in the the surrounding finish. If they do, then you could pad on a few coats of shellac to the worn areas after cleaning with the thinner, and rub it down with fine steel wool after it dries, and follow with a good paste wax. If a stain is required, then you'll have to experiment to find the right color and then try to blend the worn areas in using that first and then follow with the next steps..but the top is more difficult to do if it needs restoration...let us know and we'll help ..
