Hi Tim, yes there is truth to that method, the problem being that they will probably contort the same way again as they dry out. If you seal them well after they return to their original shape, that process will be slowed, but chances are the cellular collapse that occurred will do it again. What type of wood are they made from, and what finishing method will you be using on the piece?
