The only adhesive that is allowed for wooden airplane construction by the FAA is T88, water proof, one hour open time, 8 hours to set, the longer the dry time the stronger the bond. This is the strongest glue I have ever seen, a customer broucht me a chair part he had glued himself and had failed. I cleaned off the old glue for a fair fit and it was so strong that even though it broke a year later the wood seperated right next to the glue, leaving the less than perfect fit intact. Clearly a bad piece of wood, which we will now replace. I won't use this glue on joints since that damage the intergity and antiquity of the piece. After repairing hundreds of splits with this adhesive this is the first time I have had one fail. T88 beats Gorilla Glue hands down.
