I think the mayo works (sometims) because of the vinegar-which often works, but I dont know why. As for peanut butter- could it be that ground-up peanuts are abrasive? In both cases, I suppose that the oils would shine up the area a little. So where do you get tobacco ash? Anyway, I'm all out of mayo-maybe I'll try ketchup. lol.
