"Danish oils" are a class of oils usually containing Tung oil and other drying oils and resins (phenolics). Watco is the most widely recognisable one....the pigments used in these products are very fine and usually the color density is quite light. They are typically an oil finish and color in one (or no color added clears)....but can be used under other finish methods with thorough drying and sealing methods....as with other oils finishes, they penetrate and harden from within, producing a satin filmless finish in the wood not on it...
