In Response To: Staining tiger maple cabinet (Bernie Rzetelny)

I prefer a Danish Oil stain for these fancy grains, it brings out a deeper depth of color. I would also follow this with an amber shellac. But for most people today a precat lacquer would give more protection. The best thing I can picture on this piece would be a high gloss polish for the best possible image of the grain.
