How is the trim attached? If it is pressed into a groove, like a 'T' molding, you would start at one end and pry a little at a time, working your way along the edge inch by inch. Work from the bottom so as not to leave a mark. Find a slender tool, possibly a putty knife to get it started. Be careful not to bend the molding or kink it.
