These things are almost impossible to destroy. The fastener is still available in any good sewing machine store. As well they can fine tune the works to adjust and oil the necessary parts. Pay attention to the case and it's veneer, the leather belt, and does the bobbin show excessive wear. Check the instructions to see if all the small parts are present. $175.00 would be a bit high around here for these items, but in good shape, and if you don't have one in every basement, like here, it's probably a good price.
