Anything can be fixed, the parts may not always go back the way they were, but with some modefication and the work of expert hands, yes, it can be done. There are ways of reswelling compressed wood fibres and then setting them in a resin (poly etholene glycol) or one for fixing damaged wood, and preserving the original shape. The real question is, does the item equal the value of the work?
