Well, I don't know if I'd smear mayo on any of my furniture...but 80% of any good mayo is oil...the rest is egg, vinegar, and lemon juice,etc....I'd try an oil finish for furniture....something about smearing food all over a piece of furniture bothers me, I've heard of treating a white ring like this but never a whole piece of furniture....Watco has a product called "rejuvinating oil" that should revive your Rosewood table top...the mayo probably works too...but because it's food...with eggs in it, it's possible it could get rancid..and the oils in mayo..(soy and other vegetable) won't dry off like an oil designed for furniture...that dry hard when cured...
