It was given to me about 20 years ago by an elderly neighbor who had no relatives. We have really enjoyed it and being able to pull out a 7 1/2 ft. table on a moments notice is great. We are thinking of downsizing, however, and we've considered refinishing it (several dings over the years) and selling, but didn't know if the market warranted that sort of time/expense. I have never seen another one, and until you answered, didn't even know what to call it. I have a feeling, if we refinish, we will really like it and wind up keeping it! I would appreciate any info you can provide. I haven't been able to dig up much on the Saginaw Furniture Shops, Inc. I live in St. Louis, so it is easy to look up local resources. A little more description, mine only has two legs... when extended, the table just comes out of the buffer. The extended frame has two legs on the end that pulls out, if that makes sense. The telescoping mechanism is pretty amazing, as it is graduated in width, narrower at the buffet end. I would take photos, but we are putting a new floor in the dining room and all the furniture is scrunched into the kitchen!
