Scarlett, just saw your msg posted in 2002; I have been trying to find out info re Pullman furniture as we purchased a couch and a chair from a private party and I would like another chair as well as info on the furniture. When I tried to research I came up w/nothing and I contacted a lot of antique stores and went on the net etc. Our furniture is w/the original upholstery and the label if I can recall said ...mfg of fine furniture and listed several major cities and a couple of them were Chicago and New York and another that escapes me.
Did you get the chair upholstered (we have not done ours as yet). Can you describe yours or send a picure. I had been looking for over 3 years and I have to say it is the prettiest I have ever seen. About the best way to describe is lots and lots of carving. The most characteristic is the handles have an opening (if yours is the same you know excactly what I mean)...hope to hear from you!
