Right Roger....on the flat surfaces you can scrape the first few coats off if they are really thick, if you use a putty knife, round the corners with a file or sandpaper to keep from gouging the surface....and let the stripper do the work...if you have to really scrape then it's not dissolved enough...you're really just pushing the sludge off...and it should come off as easily as spilled applesauce...
