Victorian Sette

I was given a victorian sette, like a love seat but smaller. It is over a 100 years old. Unfortunately when you move and friends aren't careful things get broken. One of the back legs has broken. Originally it looked like a clean break. But no has become compound broken. First broken from the frame of the couch and now has split apart on the top of the couch. Any clue what I can do to repair this leg. Talked to a few antique restorers in my area, told me they can't do it. But I know that back then the same things had to happen a few times and I know there has to be something that I can do. This sette is just a gorgeous piece of furniture.

Thanks for any help you can give.
