Look for the star (phillips head) screws, staples, hailed on glue blocks. Also poplar stained to look like mahogany, no mahogany at all, lacquer9which easily disolves in denatured alcohol), newer looking springs with black spray paint all over them, need I go on? How about no hand tool marks, like all power tool shapeing and compo mouldings that resemble carving.
