I spend Sunday mornings chasing Norm Abrams around the channels looking to New Yankee workshop and today is no exception. Today he was making signs and one was out of teak. He suggested using acetone to clean the oils off before finishing. Sound reasonable?

As I said...my preference would have been lacquer but the customer specifically requested poly despite my recommendation of lacquer. What can I do......she is the one paying!
