I really do not want to destroy them, I knew enough NOT to use Pledge or something like that (I don't even like to use it for my IKEA stuff!)Do you think I can find the hide glue at a chain hardware store like Home Depot? The glass may not be to difficult, I live in Philadelphia which has a thriving antique market. In fact a few years ago a dealer offered my Grandfather $100 for these , even in the condition they were in!
I did find an old thread which explained how to read the labels. I found out that 1 is the mahagony, and the other is the imatation mahagony veneer.
Here is the imformation from the labels, if you can tell me about when they were made i would appriciate it!
