ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

We just inherited a large oval gilded antique federal mirror. I believe the frame is wood and attached to the frame is decorative plaster with an ornate design around it and a large eagle on top. Several weeks after we hung it on the wall, it fell down. Of course the mirror broke but the concern is the damage to the plaster and gilding. It is cracked and some pieces broken off. We cannot find anyone in the Chicago area that can restore it. Anyone with any suggestions is very much appreciated!!!!
