The steam is not as bad as the dribbling water that remains on the finish. Just keep wipeing up the liquid and you should be fine. I have gone to keeping a steamer at the ready by my bench, it makes glue removal fast. Glue clean up is easy as well, and the hose is more direct than the iron for dents in the wood. Plus my cappuccino machine is now free for what I really need it for, coffeeeee.
