durable finish for vanity with sink

Hi,

I have an antique oak wash table that I am planning to use as a vanity for a sink in a bathroom restoration.

Does anyone have a suggestion for how to finish the top?

It will need to be durable finish as it will see some water splashing from the sink.

Hope some one can help.
