Hello Linda,
My name is Mary Stoffels and we have a piece of Van Dyk furniture that we have not been able to find any information about. Our piece is a 4-drawer dresser that my husband secretary gave to us. It was used in her daughters room and was painted white with pink handles (ugly). We decided to strip it this summer and discovered an amazingly beautiful dresser. We don't have the mirror that it looks to have once had. My father told us that the woods are cherry and tiger maple. The drawers are cedar. If you have any information on Van Dyk would you please forward them on to me. I would really appreciate it.

P.S. I have searched the Patterson, NJ archives and have only found the name in the censuses, but nothing on the company.
