I have 2 wing chairs that I would like to reupholster. Before I do I would like to refinish the wood all around it. They are probably round 40 years old and have a light fruitwood finish. I'm thinking of giving the chairs a white distressed finish. How do I start this long awaited project? Do I begin with a stain stripper and then lightly sand? Any information would be most helpful.
