In Response To: inlay (sandra)

You can reglue the inlay with new hide or liquid hide glue. The tiny stringing that you describe is not avaible for sale with any source I know. This is somthing you may need to create from venee. The original was sanded flush in place and that will be a problem for you. You could make a device to replicate this process in small pieces which you would then insert into the furniture piece. Holly wood was often used for this kind of application.
