I have a nice sewing box made by FBM with the gold metal plate and number attached under it. It has two doors at the top. One on either side of the carry handle. They are hinged together internally so if you open one side, the other side will also open. Like this \|/. With the sides going down flat like this. _|_ . The Body of the box is V shaped with a small tray inside that can slide on some wood rails. I'm amazed at how little is known about this company. I've read most of the e-mails and I too am looking for someplace or someone that can shed some light on the age or date of manufacture of this item. Any living relatives of the owners would be doing themselves and us a great service to Post a site where we can learn about their ancesters business. Thank You Noel
