Hi Mary, Haven't been back on here, like you I kept checking so just bit the bullet, so to speak. I washed it with soap and water, rinsed it well, most of the paint came off. It had already oxidized. Then I undercoated it with a low lustre grey spray paint, it took 2 cans. (For metal) I wanted a white bed so I used Sherwin Williams White Dove Matte finish paint, it took 5 cans to really cover bed. I had a decal but it was mostly gone, so can't help you there. But you can try and tape it off, before you do anything. Good Luck. Rita Wooten@columbusacademy.org Columbus, Ohio
