Most likelt not, but hot parafin can be brushed over the decal and this will protect that surface while stripping. Also you could take a digital photo, have a print shop do a full size color copy and then use lighter fluid to shift the ink from the copy to the wood. This should be tested and fine tuned if you have not used this method befor.
