wax fill sticks

Hello - A few months ago, I wrote a question about restoring a Victorian walnut fainting couch. I appreciate that my question was fully answered; part of the answer involved using a wax fill stick to cover scratches. There are many of these sticks on the market, some of which have putty in them. I was wondering if you can tell me the brand of fill stick you recommended or, if you can't recommend a specific brand, tell me if I should be looking for a fill stick that is all wax and hard (like a crayon). Also, can you tell me the kind of hard paste wax I should use as a surface coat over the entire couch? Is Goddard a good brand?

Many thanks. Ani
