Hi - I was recently given a beautiful oak side board. The original owner removed the oak veneer from the top, the fronts of the drawers and the fronts of the doors. Replacing the veneer is too expensive for my budget so is there any way that I can uniformly stain the wood ? Some strips of the wood are darker than others as if a different type of wood was used. Or should I paint it bright red :) ??
