Ok, I have the first of the dining set chairs down to its component pieces. All of the flat parts are sanded down to bare wood and look nice. There is a routered edge along the top and the front legs are "spindle" type that were turned on a lathe so it looks like balls and spacers stacked on top of each other.
There is no flat service to sand on, all curved. Do I need to break out some type of stripper to lift the stain out of the wood or is this a old fashioned hand sand job.
If their is a tool to speed this up, let me know. I have the hide glue and clamps waiting.
Also shoud I stain the individual pieces, then reglue or vice versa.
James, I am sure you will respond so thanks to you and all others in advance for your help
