I recently did this myself with an old, odd shaped beveled mirror. I was quoted $250 to have a replacement made. The silvering was in very bad shape, so I carefully scraped it off with a single edged razor blade, and then had a piece of old mirror cut to fit right behind the original beveled glass. It looks great and actually is very hard to tell what I had done.Total cost $25.
