I have an oridinal (c. mid-1800s) oak murphy bed. All the parts (including the matress) are original. It has never been refinished. The front of the bed looks like a chest of drawers. When unfolded, the bed is similar in size to a standard or twin. It works fine, the finish has a few scratches and nicks but these blemishes don't detract at all from the over all appearance of the piece.
Unforntunately I don't have room for the bed and would like to sell it. Can anyone give me an idea of its worth? Ball Park figures are fine.
Thanks so much, Lauren
