Most likely the wood is a paint grade wood of maple, bass wood, poplar or the like. You do not have a very valuable item, but then the guy with only a bottom cabinet dosent have much either. Run an ad in the paper and see what comes of it, some one may give you fifty or better, at least it won't be in your basement any more, or the land fill.
