ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Moldy/Musty Dining Room Set

I have just ben given a 1950 circa oak dining room set(Table, 3 leaves, 6 chairs, China Closet, Buffet).

these have spent their last 5 years in a very damp, closed up home, therefore, they have a damp, musty odor to them, especially the inside of the buffet and china closet.

Also, there is a fine film of mold on the surface of most of the furniture.

what can I use to rid the furniture of the odor??

What is best used to remove and kill the mold on the surface??

Other than the smell and the mold, the furniture is in almost new condition.

Thanks in Advance

RJ
