Stain on Oak table top

The top of the Oak drop leaf tabvle has been stripped and sanded. It looks great except for a 4" diameter purple/black stain. This is a very old stain.If I use a 2 part bleach the directions indicate that it should not be used for spot treatment. Would Oxalic powder/crustals be better to use for spot treatment than the 2 part bleach ?
