Linseed oil (available at hardware store) just put it on there and let it sit for a few minutes, if it starts to clear, rub it with a soft cloth first, if it helps but doesn't quite go away, rub it ever so lightly with fine steelwool. Wipe/dry it off, then wax it with furniture paste wax (carnauba or beeswax). If that doesn't work refer to A.W. Martin's post. If that doesn't work, refer to James Schooley's post. Trial and error. If you mess it up completely, you can always take it to a restorer and they can fix it for you. Least harmful and abrasive methods first, is always best. Good luck.
