an antique stove I came across

Hi, my name is Katie, I recently came across an antique stove at a yard sale. Or what I believe to be a stove. I am havng an extremely difficult time finding out the historical background of this piece. On the back of this stove it says "Design Registered 1919-Whitaker Stove Works-Windsor, ONT.

Any assisstance you could give would be greatly appreciated, as again, I am having dificulty finding out the historical background on this piece.
