Your writing is very informative. Yes, sometimes when I look at the pieces carved by Horner I am impressed but sometimes there are other pieces I see in Europe which are so impressive as well. We are all feeling horny with Horner furniture and his work is going through the roof. I am looking at one 16 piece dining set and the asking price is $80,000.00 which sold for $44,000 at an auction is New Orleans a couple of years ago. It seems like buying a complete dining set by Horner is a much better return on the money than putting into the stock market.
How does one gaugh the best of the best work by Horner besides visiting those shops who have these pieces and looking at them through a Microscope.
