In Response To: Globe Wernicke Labels (Mike Miller)

I recently purchased a beautiful Globe (Wernicke?) File cabinet and want to learn more about it but have had NO luck finding any information on this particular cabinet. The only thing that I have found is a 1903 advertisement that pictures my cabinet.

http://www.officemuseum.com/filing_equipment_cabinets.htm

"The vertical filing system was invented in 1898 by Edwin G. Seibels (1866-1954). One of his original filing boxes is said to be in the Smithsonian Institution. Earliest advertisement 1901"

I do have pictures that can be e-mailed. I would VERY MUCH appreciate any help that you may be able to give. I have searched the internet, Ebay, Southeby's and a million other places and can't find anything other than the above mentioned ad.

HELP!!! And thank you :-)
