I have a high boy (4 drawer) antique dresser that I believe is from the 40's but not sure. It no longer has the original drawer pulls and I am trying to determine what they looked like and/or buy authentic replacements. The original pull holes are 4" apart and it appears they had 1-1/2" wide ends.
The dresser is veneer with a rounded edged front top like the old radios. The veneer has 'V' shaped designs on the drawers with two bands of a lighter wood color (almost cream)that has 'V's in a black wood grain look - one across the top of the first drawer, the other above the third drawer. Does this sound 40's to you?
What type of hardware should I use and where can I obtain it?
