Hi, I have a 3/4 bed I believe is what is known as Ohio painted. What is Ohio painted? I want to refinish this bed myself as the one bed rail and part of the headboard is down to bare wood. Should I try to do this Ohio painted stuff or just put stain and poly on it? How do I go about stripping it? How can I even be sure this is Ohio painted and not something else? It looks like brown paint that was made to look like wood grain. There doesn't appear to be any primer under this finish. Thanks Sherry
