In Response To: "White Mountain" ice box (Tim Brandewie)

I also have a White Mountain ice box that I'm about to start restoring. Mine is roughly 24" wide X 18" deep, and about 4' tall. It, too, is constructed of pine, based on preliminary removal of small amounts of paint. There is a very old, faded label inside the hinged top, which I plan to remove and hopefully save/restore. Also, this model has a door in front, and a hinged flap at the bottom to enable removal of a drip pan.

I'm also eager to find out more information on finishes and so forth. I'll be researching this area. I'll pass on any relevant research, and would ask that you exchange the favor.

Thank you. Connie
