Hi there...I am brand new to the world of antiques...I just bought a beautiful dresser this week and when I got it home found the Berkey and Gay seal inside the drawer. This is the first item of antique furniture that I have purchased and I am wondering how to clean it up a little. It is dirty, has water rings and scratches...I have no idea where to start and do not want to do anything to damage the wood (think it is walnut)...Any advice would be greatly apprecitated..I am also trying to find info on how to date the dresser as well...Thanks again
