I have a small solid teak chair from Ferguson. It has no arms, a solid bottom, and the back has two horizontal pieces with a pretty design between them. Under the seat it has a gold label that reads "Ferguson / Symbold of Quality since 1875 / Treasured Furniture". Stamped under it is "Ferguson / Bros. Mfg. Co., Hoboken, N.J. / Trade Mark / #2701 . The / means it is on a separate line. I thought the number 2701 meant that they had made 2700 pieces before it. But I am not sure now because Pat Petruzzi's (10/11/3) message says she has a desk No. 2701 . Unless I have the chair to that desk. I use the chair on a writing table I have. Note what joe Whaley (3/28/4) wrote, and how similar it sounds to mine.
