I have an 18th century dresser. My best guess is that it has about 4 layers of paint over the original red paint. I tired sanding and got one layer of gray paint off but now I'm down to layers of white paint. I was able to get down to the original red paint only on the drawer. What can I use to remove all the paint to the original red paint? I don't want to take all the paint off.
