We have a Chinese rosewood dining table about ten years old. It is a medium to dark colour. The top surface may have been polished with silicon wax by tenants. Whatever the cause, the surface looks as though it is smeared with grease and , in parts, as though small drops of water have left shadowy marks. We have tried with a number of different wood oils but have not been able to get the surface back to its original deep shine.
Does anyone have any advice?
Regards
David
