Please don't put wet wood items in direct Sun light to dry, this will warp them as they will dry unevenly, since the Sun will strike one side more than another and that will create an uneven surface tension. That is where wood warping is most likely, especially on old dry wood. Wet wood should be allowed to dry slowely and evenly after towel drying and without any fans, but where air can circulate evenly over all surfaces.
