Use a little dishwashing soap in warm water and a scrub brush if there is no peeling of the original paint....don't get it too wet though...work in small areas and dry as you go with an old bath or handtowel. Let it dry thoroughly and get some Krylon satin white spray cans...$3 each or so...and go at it....it will be beautiful!
